The PREMIUM Self-Latching gooseneck coupler.   This is the coupler used on all PopUp products.  Notice it can be fitted with a long shank padlock (not included) which prevents anyone from hooking it to a ball and towing the trailer.  The GN8 is just the coupler, the GN8A includes the coupler and a cable assembly which is used for remote release.

Drilled to accept a padlock.  If you want the very best coupler money can buy - look no further.  The GN8 self-latches when lowered onto a 2-5/16" hitch ball, and releases remotely with a cable that can be conveniently located near the trailer jack handle. For added convenience, a molded hitching guide is cast into the coupler to make hook-up easier.

Precision cast from nickel chrome alloy with a retaining pin machined from heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel, the GN8 has achieved a  rating of 28,000 pounds. 

The GN8A includes a GN8 coupler plus the cable and installation kit for remote coupler release.
